    Somwhere Familiar

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Folsom)
A shoot in the hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) in the morning. :)

Landed in the Hilton Garden Inn, Folsom (FM) on Friday around 12am and after I get everything settled down, it is already 3am in the morning. (Yes another late night sleep for me). So I decided not to go far on the Saturday and stay somewhere near. On the next morning, when I drive around in the town, I realize how familiar I am to this town. It has been my 4th/5th visit here and pretty much I know where to get what I needed basically and everything seems to be pretty accessible for me. (Looks like I am kinda use to the village lifestyle in FM) :"P

Yeah, everything seems to be familiar here, even the road

Went to Vacaville premium outlets today and along the way they are 2 minor accidents and 1 major accident. (I called it a major accident is because the 2 vehicles involves has been pretty much on up side down position and the driver has been sent to the hospital via ambulance ~: |)  manage to complete most of the shopping AR for the family members and friends today (at least it has been 90% completed so far). Still need to close a few more then I will stop for good. :"D.

Anyway, I think I will get an early rest today... :) Get some good sleep and ready for the map day tomorrow. (Hopefully it will be a great day tomorrow) and for those are are in PG. Happy Monday to all of you. Cheers and night. :)

    * It is getting closer to Christmas and everybody is on the shopping mood and the weather is getting colder and colder now. (It is at 41F now... gosh is freezing...) ~:"P

The Rock Mountain - Sedona / Sunset Crater Volcano

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Old Dutchman Park)
    Lonely figure on the mountain

It has been a super busy week in AZ here. Pretty much has been working until 5-630pm everyday and follow with dinner with co-worker here until 9++pm. (It is a rare chances to meet everyone here discussing about the projects and in the mean time getting training and build the synergy from there). Seriously, just in case you all are curious if I have done any shopping? (Sorry I have not) :"P Yeah..., so I hope that I got sometime to go and get everything done by this weekend in FM. Anyway it is good that you know that what is coming up next for your tool and the future project and what part or role that you will be playing in the next few months.

    More photos after the jump...

A wider view of the area

Along the way, we will stop at the designated scenic area to get some shoot. :) The view here is great. Although there is sunlight, but the temperature is pretty cold along the way. You will find different mountain form naturally in their special shape in this area. And in the mean time, Herb told and show me that we are going higher and higher above the sea level. (Yes, your ears will fell it as well) :"P

    Sunlight on the mountain

There are a few special scenic area along the way like the church on the mountain, the creeks (that is pretty deep). And yeah, we heard coyote howling there as well. (We tried to find him, but too bad, we just could not find it)

    Red rock mountain
Another area that caught my attention is the mountain top of the Sedona, You will pretty much get a bird eye view of the town below the mountain as well as how the mountain and the sky comes together for a great view. Other than that, we also do stop beside a hugh bridge and there is like a walkway at the bottom where you could go there for some walk.

Herb wondering in the dried lava. :"D

The dried lava and the snow

And we do manage to go to the Sunset Crater Volcano as well (Herb is trying to stretch the goal here) and luckily we manage to fight the time and arrive at the volcano before sunset (It is almost sunset but not  yet). Herb show me around the area and I am amaze on how the whole area was formed. All of the area is form by dried lava. (Pretty much looks like brownies on the road). But when you get closer, it is hard. So watch your step so that you will not fall, the lava cut pretty well as well.

It is not Volcano Eruption, just some evening sunlight block by the cloud

    Long and Windy road

The whole one day trip to Sedona was great, along the way, we do stop at a few destination to get some final evening shoot before I kept my camera for a day. Even someone like me also enjoy in the whole atmosphere of the whole tour. :)

Anyway, I would like to thanks Herb and Jeanette for taking their time off for this 2 days tour. (They have sacrifice their weekend Xmas decoration time for the tour). Without their companion, I believe the tour will be null and I will not be able to see so many great views that they brought me to) :). Thanks!!

I guess is almost time for me to get some rest. I hope that everybody will enjoy the AZ photo series. Today will be my last day here where I will be departing to FM tomorrow. For those who are interested to view the whole series. You all could view the gallery here.

Good Night and have a nice weekend ahead! :)

The Desert - Old Dutchman Park

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Old Dutchman Park)
A mountain view in the park. :)

Today is the first day working on the AZ site, and everything has been going great so far other than I still need to make some changes to the release tasks that I have completed before I come to the state. Anyway just finish dinner and would like to do some blog post regarding some of the outing that I have done on day 2. For day 2 in AZ, I has been pretty lucky that my peer in the state is willing to spend his (and his wife time) bringing me around for some site seeing. our destination during my 2nd day in AZ is the Old Dutchman State Park. (Thanks Herb) :)

    A drying petal

The park do has a lot of animal like rattles snake, jack rabbits, lizard and even road runner. But, too bad it is currently winter right now and most of the animals are in their hibernating state. (And based on the info, they will only come out at night).

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Old Dutchman Park)
Watch out for the torn - it bites!

On top of that, there is a lot of different cactus (yes, different species) available in the park as well. Darn, I totally forget about what is their name, but what I could say that the highest cactus that I saw here is like 10 feet+. :O

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Old Dutchman Park)
One last shoot before we left - There is a small tiny moon on the left (white dot) :"P

Anyway, a short post and here are some of the photos taken in the park. I hope that all of you will enjoy it. Night... :)

    * And yes, manage to see a road runner on our way back. It is not as big as it is in the cartoon. (Which is the same size as the wolf) It is actually some pretty small bird. (Don't be deceived by the cartoon ya). :"D

    It feels good...

Travel Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Hong Kong)
    Leaving the Town

Yes, a tiring day, it has been 239am right now and I am still awake. (Sigh...) But I will be getting myself to sleep after I close this post. Just know that... after hours and hours of flight (It is kinda sucks when you have wrong expectation on the seat plan shown on the web and the actual seat plan layout is totally different - and pretty much I stuck at a window seat). Anyway and no matter what, I am finally landed and crush at my hotel room. Getting myself clean up after 18 hours+ of flight, transit and waiting. :) (That's why it feels good when your 2 feet are landed on the ground firmly).

    The Emptiness in Me

Not a lot of photos to share today. The feeling of leaving the town alone has never been good. Hopefully I could get this settle fast and then get back home asap. And it kinda impacted my feeling of taking shoot. :"P Took most of it in the HK airport... pretty much trying to share the feeling that I have during that time.

The Big Bird - but not from Sesame Street. :"P

Anyway, tomorrow will be going out with a peer here where he is kind enough to bring me around the neighborhood. I better get myself to bed, trying to get some sleep. I hope you all have a great weekend over there. Night everyone. :)

    My Blade, As My pride

Toys Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Ichigo Kurosaki from the Bleach)

Ichigo Kurosaki from the Bleach - Check it out in Larger View :)

Just another busy day getting everything ready for the trip. Documentation and some last minutes checking as well as emailing to ensure that everything is in place.(I think I am ready... hopefully I didn't forget to bring anything over)

Photos for today is Ichigo Kurosaki from the Bleach anime. Yes I am an anime fans and this anime was introduced to me by Kevin. Once you like it, you will stick to it. (Too bad I like it and I stuck to it like mad). This character was one of the action figure that I bought during the Japan trip. :) Still a quick one light setup this round. It was lighted by from the bottom and reflected from the right. The cool tone? It is again from the White balance from the body itself. (Pretty much don't feel like putting any blue gel on the flash today - what a lazy bum that I am) :"P Just to have a feeling of the power is flowing from the back... (You know those dragon ball type) :"D

Anyway, a short post today. Hope that all of you will enjoy the photo of the day and I think this will be my final blog post before I depart. I hope you all will have a great long holiday. Happy Thanksgiving and Hari Raya Haji to those who celebrate it as well. Cheers~~!! :)
